A nearby farm stand gave me the idea for a new air fryer snack
I bought some fresh okra from a farm stand down the street. I air fried it into chips (they were super crispy and tasty). What local ingredients have you tried in your air fryer?

Okra in the air fryer? I have to say, my try was totally different. I got some from my local market too, but it came out soggy no matter what I did. Maybe it's the type of okra or how thick I sliced it, but it just Didn't work for me. I've had better luck with zucchini from my garden - thin slices with a little oil get Really crispy. Fresh ingredients can be tricky because the moisture content changes everything. Now I mostly stick to sturdier veggies like green beans or carrots for air frying.

Seeing your okra struggle, @maryt62, it's like every kitchen hack has its own set of rules. Even following the same steps, tiny things like slice thickness or how fresh the veg is can totally change the outcome. You just keep tweaking your approach until it works, which honestly applies to most stuff beyond cooking too.
