Warning: My kid's school project on local birds went from a poster to a full video in two days
He had to make a report on robins for his third grade class in Madison, and we were just going to glue pictures to some cardboard. Then his teacher showed him a free AI tool that could make pictures and a simple script from his notes. Now he has a three minute video with moving images and his own voiceover. Is this kind of thing becoming the new normal for little kids, or is it too much too fast?

Honestly, I was totally against this stuff at first, thought it was just cheating. But my niece made a similar video about planets and she was so into it, way more than cutting out paper. She learned the facts better because she had to get the script right for the voiceover. Tbh, it just seems like a different, maybe better, kind of normal now.

Yeah, @ray_miller41, you're right. It's not cheating if they're actually learning. Just a new way to do the same old project.

Wait, so @josephbutler thinks cutting out paper planets is the same as making a video?
