Warning: I spent $150 on a 'smart' AI writing tool that just gave me nonsense
I bought a subscription to a tool called 'WordSmith Pro' last month, thinking it would help me draft some blog posts about AI stuff. It kept generating paragraphs where it would say the same thing three times in a row, like 'AI is innovative, AI is new technology, AI is an innovative new technology.' I wasted a whole afternoon trying to fix it before I just gave up and wrote the posts myself. Has anyone else found a decent AI writing assistant that doesn't just repeat itself?

Maybe you just didn't give it clear enough instructions?

Honestly, I give these things instructions like I'm explaining color to a brick. Andrew_gonzalez88 is right, they just parrot you back sometimes. The trick is to talk to it like it's a very literal and slightly confused intern.

Ugh, same thing happened to me with a different tool! It just kept rephrasing my own prompt back to me.
