Update: Fixed my script that kept writing the same bad jokes

My AI writing helper started repeating the same puns in every email draft. It would always drop a weather joke, like calling a sunny day a 'bright idea'. I added a simple filter to block phrases it used too often. Now it skips the overused lines and picks fresher options from its training. The change cut the cringe factor by a lot. It still tries to be funny with tech terms, which is a bit much sometimes. But at least the emails don't all sound the same now.

Yeah, tech term jokes might need the same kind of filter soon. They can get old fast if you see them all the time.

That pattern shows up everywhere once you start looking. My local news anchors recycle the same three phrases for every weather report. It's just lazy writing that needs a refresh button.
