The self-checkout at my Kroger in Dayton started guessing my age and I had questions
Stopped at the Kroger on Wilmington Pike last Tuesday and the self-checkout screen had this new camera thing that tried to guess if I was old enough to buy a six pack of Yuengling. It read my face and just put a green check mark up, no beep, no worker walking over, nothing. I stood there for like 10 seconds staring at it because I could not tell if that was an AI doing face stuff or just some guy in a back room hitting a button. Kind of cool but also it guessed I was 45 and I am 38, so now I have beef with a grocery store robot. Has anyone else had one of these guess something weird about them?
The whole "guessed I was 45" thing is funny cause my gym's new scanner told me I was 52 and I'm 41, so I feel your pain. At least Kroger just sells you beer, my gym started sending me emails about their "senior fitness" classes.
