Stumbled on that AI tool that reads old doctor handwriting like magic
I was at my cousin's place in Austin last Friday and he showed me this AI thing he uses at the pharmacy. Basically you snap a pic of a prescription and it translates the scribbles into actual med names. He said it caught a wrong dosage on a script that would've been bad news. Has anyone seen these popping up in other medical fields too?

Oh man, a friend of mine actually had that prevent a med mix-up at her hospital last month.

Oh totally, my dad's a retired pharmacist and he was telling me about this. They had a similar system rolled out at his old hospital right before he left, and he said it caught a handwritten "50 mg" that was actually supposed to be "15 mg" for a kid's med. Just a little slip of the pen that could've been bad. From what he said, it's been helping more than people realize, at least in the pharmacy world.
