My voice assistant tried to order a pizza during a serious meeting

I was in a Zoom call with my team in Boston last month, demoing a new AI voice model I'd been training. I said the test phrase 'Hey Nova, analyze the quarterly data' a bit too loud. My smart speaker in the kitchen heard it, but processed it as 'Hey Nova, order a large pizza.' Ten minutes later, the doorbell rang with a delivery guy holding a pepperoni pizza. My boss on the call just asked if that was part of the demo. Has anyone else had an AI completely mishear a command at the worst possible time?

Totally, my smart speaker called my own phone last week. It just started ringing out of nowhere and when I picked up there was this weird digital silence. Freaked me out for a second before I figured it out.

Would an AI even know how to dial a phone? I'm still trying to teach mine to stop setting alarms for 3 AM. It's a work in progress.
