My AI content generator went rogue and I almost lost a client

I was using this automated blog writer for a client in Seattle last Tuesday and it suddenly started spitting out complete nonsense. Like it was mixing up their brand name with a competitor and making up fake statistics about their industry. I didn't catch it until after I hit publish on three posts. The client called me within two hours asking what the heck was going on. I had to pull all the posts down, rewrite everything manually, and send a groveling apology email. Cost me about 12 hours of extra work and I refunded them $300 for the month. Has anyone else had a tool just completely break like that mid-job?

Last Tuesday my buddy in Tacoma had the exact same thing happen with his AI writer for a landscaping client. It started calling their company a different name halfway through a post about mulch and made up some soil ph levels that were completely wrong. He told me the only thing that saved him was he runs every AI draft through a quick fact check before publishing now, even though it takes an extra 10 minutes per post. Doesn't matter how fancy the tool is, I've learned the hard way you can't trust them to keep straight even basic details about a client's business. Might be worth building in a double check step on your end before anything goes live.
