My AI content generator kept making stuff up until I added this one rule

I was using a GPT model to write product descriptions for my Shopify store. It would randomly invent features or specs that didn't exist, which caused three customer returns in one month. I finally added a line to the prompt that said "only use info from the product specs list below" and attached a CSV file. It cut the hallucinations down to almost zero. Has anyone else tried grounding their AI with strict source material like that?

Heard a data scientist talk about this at a meetup last month, said grounding with source docs is the only way to keep these models honest for ecommerce. Works way better than trying to nag the AI in the prompt.

Nah, good prompt engineering still beats dumping a pile of docs at it.

Ha! Yeah because begging an AI politely never backfires right?
