Man, I know exactly what you mean. I had to step back from a lot of my feeds last year because it was just too much. What helped me was setting a timer for ten minutes to check things, then forcing myself to close the app. It sounds small, but it built up over time. Alexc93 is right about it being sobering, and that feeling is what finally made me try to change it. It's not perfect, but it cut down the noise a lot for me.
