I used to spend a whole day on a project estimate, now it takes 20 minutes

Before, I'd manually go through blueprints and old spreadsheets to guess material costs and labor hours. After trying out a tool called Procore's AI estimator, I just upload the plans and it spots details I'd miss, like extra concrete for a sloped lot. Has anyone found another AI tool that's good for smaller, residential jobs in the Midwest?

Sure they save time, but then you just fill that time with more boring stuff. Feels like we're just speeding up the treadmill.

Yeah, it's like the saved time just gets eaten by more tasks. You clear your inbox faster, so you just get more emails to deal with. The goalposts just keep moving.
