I finally admitted AI writing tools aren't as bad as I thought
I spent a year refusing to use Grammarly or any AI helper because I thought it would make my writing lazy. Then my boss made me try it for a work email, and it caught three typos I'd missed in under 10 seconds. Has anyone else changed their mind after giving one a real shot?

What changed your mind the most - the time it saved or catching errors you'd never spot?

Oh man, this hits close to home! I used to be super against AI writing stuff too, thought it was cheating or whatever. But then I tried it for a long email where I kept typing "there" when I meant "their" and it fixed it instantly. Now I use it to check my work stuff but I still write everything myself first, you know? It's honestly just a really good editor in my pocket.

Yeah that's exactly how I feel about it now too. Used to think it was just a crutch for lazy people but then I had a deadline at work and my brain was completely fried. Typed up a messy draft and let an AI smooth it out and honestly it was a lifesaver. Still do the heavy lifting myself but having something catch the dumb mistakes I make when I'm tired is a game changer. Like you said it's a good editor not a replacement. Your mileage may vary but for me it's been a real help with the little stuff I'd otherwise miss.
