Heard a dev say 'the model just got it' about a weird edge case

Honestly, it was about a new AI that could fix its own code errors after a few tries. Tbh, it made me think we're moving past just making predictions to systems that can actually learn and adjust on the fly. Has anyone else seen a project that really surprised them lately?

Wait, it can fix its own code now? That's not just checking work, that's like watching it learn from a mistake. The goalposts aren't just moving, they're getting launched into orbit. Makes you wonder what "normal job" even means in a year.

Wow, my buddy showed me a tool that writes its own unit tests now. It totally freaked him out when it caught a bug he'd missed for weeks. Feels like the goalposts are moving every single day, lol.

But is it really that big of a deal? I mean, a tool that writes tests is just checking its own work, right? It's like a spellchecker finding a typo you missed. The real trick is if it can figure out a problem the programmer never even thought of. That's when I'd be impressed. Until then, it just seems like a faster way to do a normal job.
