Can we talk about the moment I realized my AI prompts were the problem all along?
I spent like 3 months getting frustrated with ChatGPT giving me useless boilerplate answers for my work emails. I kept complaining that the AI was dumb and couldn't understand what I wanted. Then last Tuesday I watched a buddy of mine from a plumbing forum show me his prompt setup where he writes the role, the tone, and even the length he wants. I tried copying his style with one of my customer follow-ups and it came out perfect on the first try. Made me realize I was just typing a sentence or two like I was texting a friend and expecting magic. Has anyone else had that moment where you figured out you were the weak link in the human-AI team?

Oh man, that plumbing buddy sounds like a lifesaver. I had the exact same wake-up call when I started telling the AI to "talk like a grumpy old guy" instead of just mashing the Enter key.

Talk like a grumpy old guy" - I should try that with my GPS, @hugoh55. Might make traffic less boring.
