Spent 4 hours trying to get AI to merge a toaster with a goldfish

I wanted one of those ridiculous mashup pics where a goldfish pops out of a toaster slot but the AI kept making the fish look burnt or putting the toaster inside a fishbowl. Took me way too long to figure out I had to describe it as "goldfish swimming out of a toaster, surrealist style" before it finally clicked. Anyone else have a mashup idea that took way more prompts than you expected?

My three year old asked me to make a picture of "daddy riding a snail to work" and I spent two hours trying to get the AI to understand that the snail was supposed to be moving fast, not just sitting there. The AI kept giving me a sad looking guy hunched over a stationary snail in a suit and tie. Finally typed "daddy surfing on a turbo snail through rush hour traffic" and it gave me this wild image of a snail with rocket flames coming out of its shell. The whole thing made me realize I need to think like a fever dream when talking to these things.
