My nephew glued a hot dog to a Roomba and the AI version is haunting me
So my 9 year old nephew was messing around with some art app on his tablet last Saturday and made this thing where a hot dog is riding a Roomba like a little horse, vacuuming up crumbs while it goes. I laughed and forgot about it until I saw a trend on here of people mashing two random objects together and letting the AI just run with it. I tried the same thing with my own dumb idea, a toaster that wears a cowboy hat, and the picture it made was so weird and detailed that I actually felt a little unsettled. The bread slots looked like eyes and it had this tiny mustache made of crumbs. I showed my nephew and he said it looked like our actual toaster at home, which honestly made it worse. Now I keep thinking about how easy it is to make something that feels real but is total nonsense, and it kind of messes with my head a bit. Has anyone else made a mashup that turned out way creepier than you meant it to be?
Wait, did your nephew see the AI picture before or after you showed it to him? Because him saying it looked like your actual toaster is the part that's messing with me the most. Kids that age are super literal, so if he said that without you pointing it out first, that's a whole different level of creepy. My kid once drew our cat with these weird human eyes and I couldn't look at the actual cat for like a week. What did the toaster cowboy hat thing actually look like to you before your nephew said anything? Like was it cute weird or straight up unsettling weird?
