My AI made a giraffe with a washing machine for a neck, Dad nearly lost it
Last Tuesday I was showing my father the mashup generator results on my laptop at his kitchen table in Spokane. The prompt was "giraffe but each neck bone is a top-loading washer" and the render came out eerily smooth, like a spiral of white appliances. He stared for ten seconds then asked if I was trying to give him a stroke, so now I only preview those images on my phone. Anyone else get a reaction that strong from a silly picture?

Back in 2019 my sister printed out a picture of a cat with human hands and taped it inside the cabinet where my dad keeps his coffee mugs. Took him three days to notice, and when he did he just stood there holding the door open, real quiet. Then he called my mom into the kitchen like there was something wrong with the plumbing. She laughed so hard she had to sit down on the floor. He still brings it up at Thanksgiving like it was some kind of crime.
