Went to a deposition at a law firm in Naperville and the conference room had a ping pong table

I showed up for a client deposition at some trendy Naperville firm last Tuesday and the conference room had a full ping pong table instead of a regular table. The legal assistant said they use it for client meetings to keep things casual. I had to set up my laptop on one half and take notes while my client was glaring at the ping pong net. Has anyone else dealt with a weird setup like this at a deposition?

Ngl, that's a bizarre choice for a deposition space. My sympathies for having to focus through that.

Totally agree with @margaret_williams5, that's a ridiculous setup for a deposition. Had a similar thing happen at a startup's office in Austin where they had bean bag chairs and a hammock in the conference room - trying to take sworn testimony while swaying was a nightmare. Some of these firms get way too carried away with the "cool" vibe and forget people still need to do actual legal work.
