Watch out for that cheap boilerplate contract I bought online
I spent $150 on a boilerplate service agreement from some random legal template site. Thought it would cover me, but a client sued over a missed deadline clause that was super vague. Cost me $4,000 in lawyer fees to get it sorted, and I ended up having to pay the client anyway. Has anyone else gotten burned by those cheap contract packs?

Ngl, that sounds more like bad luck than the template being the problem.

Friend of mine tried that template once for a small e-commerce store and within a week had three orders that got lost in the mail. @fiona_young you're right though, it wasn't the template's fault, just bad luck with the carrier. He was so frustrated he almost went back to paper notes before realizing the tracking numbers just didn't update right.
