Three years ago I signed a client contract that should have been a red flag

Back in 2021 I took on a new client for a big commercial paint job. The contract they handed me had a clause about unlimited revisions with no deadline. Last month I finally got out of that mess after three years of back and forth. Last week I rewrote my own standard agreement to cap revisions at three rounds and include a kill fee. I figure I lost about $12,000 in extra labor on that one job alone. Has anyone else run into a revision clause that sounded fine on paper but turned into a nightmare?

Buddy of mine had a similar deal in a web design contract. Took him almost two years to finally get paid what he was owed.

Idk, two years for web design sounds pretty normal actually.

Used to think unlimited revisions was just being flexible, but @brown.gavin's buddy story hits close to home. That clause cost me real money and time before I wised up.
