That contract review in Dayton taught me to check the venue clause

I was handling an event permit for a client in Dayton back in March and the venue had their own liability form buried in page 14. The coordinator, a woman named Carol, pointed out a line that made us responsible for any damage from third-party vendors they hired. I almost signed it before she said 'you really want your client paying for our lighting guy's mistakes?' Now I ask for the venue's agreement before we even talk scope. Has anyone else gotten burned by a venue's hidden indemnity section?
