That clause about 'unlimited revisions' blew up in my face
Last month I signed a $5k web design contract without capping revisions, and the client sent me 47 change requests in 3 days. Any of you guys using a specific number for revisions that actually works?

Wait, 47 change requests in 3 days? I've been there, and it's brutal. I usually cap revisions at two rounds for web design projects after getting burned like that. After the second round, any new changes go to a separate hourly rate, usually around $75-100 an hour. That way clients think hard before asking for tiny tweaks.

My contract says 3 rounds of revisions for the base price, not 2. The difference is huge because clients usually burn through the first round fixing layout stuff and the second round on color tweaks, and that third round catches all the little things they forgot. After those 3 rounds I switch to $95 an hour which makes people really decide if they need that button moved 3 pixels.
