Rant: A reviewer told me our retainer agreement was too vague and he was right
Last spring we had a prospect in Denver flag our contract because it said 'marketing services' without listing deliverables. I thought he was just being picky, but he pointed out that vague scope means clients can demand anything. We rewrote our retainer to name specific channels, review cycles, and a cap on revision hours. Three months later that same language stopped a dispute dead when a client tried to claim TikTok management we never offered. Has anyone else tightened their scope language after a pushback and seen fewer conflicts?
