Paperwork from eight years ago still haunts me sometimes

I ran into an old client agreement last month that I wrote back in 2016 for a small branding gig in Portland. Took me four hours just to dig through archived emails and find the signed copy because my file naming was a mess back then. Honestly I think we spend way too much time on the wrong kind of details when we start out. Anyone else still cleaning up old systems from years ago?

6 folders with names like "FINAL_v3_actual_final" still sitting on my old hard drive from 2014. A PDF titled "logo_revisions_10" that had 12 versions inside. We all thought we were being organized but really we were just winging it and hoping for the best. Now I spend Sundays deleting old naming systems I made in a panic.
