My contract automation tool crashed during a client review

Last Wednesday I was prepping a service agreement for this new client in Denver, and my auto-fill plugin just froze halfway through. Lost all the custom clauses I had added for their data handling requirements. Had to rebuild the whole thing manually from a backup I made 2 days prior. Anyone else have a third party tool fail at the worst possible time?

Last Wednesday I was prepping a service agreement for a client in Phoenix and my auto-fill plugin crashed mid-sentence. Lost three custom arbitration clauses I had typed in. Honestly, backups are a pain but they save you. I keep a manual backup every morning now after that exact thing happened to me back in July. No third party tool is bulletproof, you should have tested it with dummy data first. That's on you for trusting a plugin with your live client work.

Saw a legal tech blog post about this last week, said most plugins save to local cache but wipe it on crash. Dummy data testing would've caught that before it nuked your real clauses.
