I was dead wrong about flat fee legal docs

Used to think paying $200 for a template contract online was lazy and risky. Then my agency signed a client using a $250 service contract from LegalZoom and it held up perfectly when we had a payment dispute 6 months later. Has anyone else had good luck with those cheap document services or am I just lucky?

You got lucky. Those templates miss too many state-specific requirements.

oh for sure @nancybailey you make a good point there lol. like, which states are we even talking about? i tried a free template a while back for california and it was just a hot mess with all their extra disclosure rules. did yours miss anything major or was it just minor stuff that was easy to fix on your own?
