Question about the Budweiser frogs jingle cutting out mid chorus during the 1998 Super Bowl

I was sitting in my living room in Austin during the 1998 Super Bowl when the Budweiser frogs ad came on and the sound cut out right in the middle of the jingle. I called my brother who worked at the local cable company to see if it was just my feed, and he said their office got over 40 calls about it in 20 minutes. Turns out a lot of people in my area lost the audio for about 8 seconds during that spot. I grabbed my camcorder and taped the next showing just to prove I was not crazy. My neighbor kept insisting the frogs said "Bud" at the end but I counted the syllables and it did not match. Did anyone else notice the audio drop during that game, or was it just my cable provider in central Texas?
