Warning: that dancing cactus toy ad on my feed is a masterclass in ripping off parents
Everyone keeps saying those stupid dancing cactus ads are just harmless kid stuff, but the real trick is the 9.99 price tag plus 12.99 shipping that nobody clocks until checkout. I got burned in December trying to grab one for my niece in Tucson, and the final total was 29 bucks for a plush that died in a week. The ad works because the song gets stuck in your head before you even see the price. Has anyone found one that doesn't gouge you on shipping?
