My gym's 'New Year New You' banner is still hanging in July and honestly it's the best ad they ever ran
Walked past my gym on 5th street last week and that big banner from January is still up, sun faded and peeling at one corner. Everybody in my neighborhood jokes about it in the local Facebook group, and the owner told me he's leaving it up on purpose because people keep tagging the gym in memes. Here's the thing, that ugly banner gets more attention than any polished ad they ever paid for, because it's a joke everyone is in on. Do you all think leaning into a busted campaign like that actually works, or does it just make the place look lazy?
