Blew $95 on a "vintage jingle pack" from a guy in Tulsa and half of it was just the same 3 cereal ads
Thought I was getting 200 hours of rare 60s radio spots, but it was mostly dupes of stuff already free on archive sites. Did I get scammed or is that just how these tape traders operate?
Man, $95 for three cereal ads on repeat stings. I got burned the same way a couple years back, dropped 60 bucks on a "rare DJ set" out of Ohio and it was the same Wolfman Jack bits that are free on archive.org. Here's the thing I learned the hard way: a lot of these tape traders pad the reels with dupes because most buyers never sit through all 200 hours. They count on that. Not saying every trader is a crook, but the ones who won't send a track list before you pay are usually the ones with something to hide. Sorry you got taken, that money's gone but at least now you know the tell.
