Hot take: a guy on Reddit said my banned ad edits looked like I was trying too hard to get pulled
Six months ago I was posting clips to that community every Friday and getting maybe 12 upvotes each. One commenter named u/quietvcr left a reply on my third post that said the fake smoke effect at the end was doing the opposite of what I wanted, it made the whole thing look staged. I sat with that for a bit because he was not wrong, I had been adding stuff just to seem more wild. So I stripped everything back and let the actual weird parts sit on their own, no zoom ins, no sound spikes. My next clip hit 40k views and stayed up longer than the one it was based on. Has anyone else gotten a comment that made you cut stuff instead of add it?
