Spent $12 on a monthly ad blocker and it broke half the coupon sites I actually use

So I finally got fed up with those full screen pop ups on my phone and paid $12 for a year of a blocker last month. The annoying stuff did go away, I will give it that. But then I tried to grab a promo code for a pizza order and the checkout page just spun forever because the blocker killed the script. Same thing happened with a rebate form for a vacuum filter, three tries and nothing loaded. I ended up turning it off for shopping sites, which is exactly where the worst ads live. Anyone else running one of these things and found a setting that blocks the video ads but leaves coupon pages alone?
