Can we talk about the week every ad I got was for that same mattress company?
Last Tuesday I counted 9 mattress ads in one afternoon of scrolling, all different brands but every single one said the same thing about cooling gel. My girlfriend started yelling the slogan at me every time one popped up, which honestly made it funnier than the ads themselves. Is this just me getting tagged by the algorithm or is everyone drowning in sleep ads right now?

Oh man, my buddy Dave had almost the exact same thing happen a couple weeks ago. He kept getting bombarded with ads for one of those bed in a box places, like every other post on his feed was a mattress, and he doesn't even own a bed frame, the guy sleeps on a futon. His wife got so sick of it she started making up her own fake mattress slogans just to mess with him, stuff like "sleep on it, or don't, whatever." Then he mentioned it out loud one time while his phone was sitting on the couch, and boom, the ads switched to something else within like a day. So yeah, it's probably the algorithm tagging both of us, not some huge mattress takeover happening to everyone. The wild part is none of us ever searched for a mattress, we just talked about it near our phones. Makes you wonder how much they're actually listening.
