I finally quit writing fake "real customer" reviews for my shop after a guy in Reno called me out in the comments
I was posting these glowing 5 star testimonials on my coffee shop's Facebook page for about 8 months, all written by me in different voices, and I figured nobody could tell. Then a regular named Dave in Reno commented "this one reads exactly like the owner wrote it" on a review I posted at 6am, and I sat there staring at my phone because he was right. Turns out 3 people had been quietly thinking it the whole time and only Dave said it out loud. How do you all handle reviews without it feeling like a weird performance?
