My wife pointed out the same guy is in 4 different car ads and now I can't unsee it
We were watching TV on the couch Tuesday night and she goes "hey isn't that the same dude from the truck commercial?" and sure enough it was. Same guy, same beard, but in one ad he's a dad loading bikes and in the next he's a single guy on a mountain road. Now I catch him in at least 2 more spots, one for insurance and one for a mattress store. It's like the ad world has maybe 6 actors total and they just rotate outfits. Has anyone else started spotting the same background actor bouncing between totally different brands?
Have you ever noticed this and then felt personally attacked by how many times you've fallen for it? Because same. I swear there's this one lady with short hair who's been a "busy mom" in a minivan ad, a "cool aunt" in a phone ad, and a "worried driver" in an insurance one. It's like watching the same character get rebooted into a totally different life every 30 seconds. Honestly at this point I'd almost respect it if they just put a little "yes, it's him again" tag at the bottom of the screen.
