Whispered 'dog ramp' at a BBQ in Austin, and my feed is now a pet store explosion
Last Saturday I was at a backyard BBQ in Austin and my friend Sara mentioned she was thinking about getting a ramp for her old beagle. I didn't even google it or type a single word, just nodded and said that sounds smart. By Monday morning my feed had 7 different ads for dog ramps, a stair set for cats, and one weird floating pet platform that costs $249. I don't have a dog. I have a goldfish named Kevin. Sara doesn't even have a Facebook. So how does the microphone in my phone know about a conversation held 20 feet from my pocket? Did anyone else get buried in ads for something a friend said out loud, and did you ever figure out if it was your phone or just a wild guess?
