My sister said 'you already bought that' one time and now my whole feed is shady companies
Last month my sister was over at my place in Denver watching me scroll, and I stopped on some ad for a heated jacket. She said 'you already got one of those last winter.' She was right, and I just kept scrolling. About two days later my feed was nothing but these no name brands selling heated everything. Jackets, gloves, even heated socks with a remote. I started counting and got to 14 different companies in one week, all selling the same product with a different logo slapped on it. The funny part is none of the sizes ever matched up with the reviews, and every single one had a timer counting down that reset when I opened the app again. Now I screenshot the countdown, wait for it to expire, and the price drops about 30 percent the next morning. Has anyone else tried the wait out the timer trick, or is it just me getting lucky with it?
That timer thing is wild because once you notice it you can't unsee it. I started doing the same with a phone case I kinda wanted, screenshot at 11pm, timer said 47 minutes left, checked again the next day and it was like 19 bucks cheaper without me doing anything. The clock is pure theater. What gets me is the reviews on those heated jacket listings, half of them are clearly the same five stock photos of someone standing in a parking lot, and the "was $180, now $59" tag never actually changes. So yeah your trick works but it says something sad about how the whole page is built to mess with you.
