Used to think getting roasted online was the worst thing that could happen to a normal person

Watching that UPS driver go viral for his calm response to being filmed actually convinced me you can come out of it okay if you just don't feed the trolls has anyone else seen someone handle viral fame well by ignoring it?

Haven't we all seen someone crash and burn in that situation though? I think that UPS driver handled it perfectly because he didn't give the guy any reaction to feed off of. Sometimes the best way to win is to just refuse to play the game at all.

Yeah but here's the thing nobody's talking about @parkera22 - that driver probably had training or experience with de-escalation. Most people's first instinct is to fight or flight and he chose a third option. I've seen so many vids where people try to match energy and it just makes everything worse. But walking away without saying a word takes a lot of self control, especially when someone's yelling at you for no reason. The real win here is that he kept his job and his cool instead of letting some random jerk ruin his day. Plus there's something powerful about denying someone the reaction they're clearly looking for - it's like they're left holding all that anger with nobody to give it to.
