I found this trick where you reply to your own viral comment with a video instead of text, and it blew up to 12k views in 4 hours after a random post about my dog knocking over a camera stand got picked up by a meme page, but my buddy tried the same thing and got nothing but crickets so which side are you on, is it the timing or the luck?

Oh man, I had a friend who posted a video of her cat knocking over a Christmas tree at like 4 PM on a Wednesday and it got over 50k views in a day... but she tried the exact same thing the next week with a similar cat video and it flopped hard. Timing helps but honestly it feels like the algorithm just picks random winners sometimes, like the internet gods roll dice on who gets seen. Your buddy probably just got the short end of the stick that day.

I heard a social media guy say the algorithm loves engagement speed over timing, so maybe that dog video just hit the right people at the right second while your buddy's luck ran out.
