The comment that killed my engagement overnight

Someone said my captions were 'too salesy' and nobody cares about my product specs. I switched to just telling the story behind the photo in 3 sentences and my likes tripled in a week. Has anyone else had to totally change their caption style after one piece of honest feedback?

Totally feels like people can smell when you're trying too hard to sell versus just talking to them like a regular human. Ditching the sales pitch for real stories is like finally taking off a stiff pair of shoes you never should have worn.
