That random tweet I posted about my cat's weird sleeping position got 50k likes and now my coworkers recognized me from it

I snapped a pic of my tabby sleeping completely upside down on our couch in Austin and threw it on Twitter without thinking, figured my friends would get a laugh. Woke up the next morning to notification overload and a stranger commenting that they saw my cat on a BuzzFeed listicle. Has anyone else had a really mundane post blow up and suddenly have people at the grocery store give you that squinty-eyed look?

And now I'm forever known as "the upside down cat guy" at work, which is weirdly better than the other nicknames I've had. Did you at least get free coffee out of it or just the awkward fame?

@brown.gavin that's better than being the "printer whisperer" which is what I got stuck with. Did the cat at least look cool upside down?
