Showerthought: That guy who found a lost wallet on a bridge got 2M views and I got 12
Last week I had to decide whether to post the video of my neighbor's dog ringing his doorbell every morning at 6am, and I sat on it for 3 days then posted it anyway, and it got 12 views while some random dude picking up a wallet on a bridge in Portland hit 2 million. I think we're lying to ourselves when we say there's no luck in this, timing and the algorithm decide way more than the actual clip does. Am I the only one who's stopped chasing viral moments because of stuff like this?
