Saw that shelf sorting clip everyone shares? I think it's overrated.

That video of a mom sorting her kids' toys into clear bins went mega viral last month. People keep saying it's the best way to tame clutter in your home. I gave it a shot in my playroom, and it was a total flop. The bins she used are flimsy and cost way too much for what you get. My toddler pulled them down in two days, making a bigger mess than before. From my own tries, using old cardboard boxes with labels works just as well and saves cash. The hype around this clip is making folks buy into a system that isn't tough enough for real life. We need to stop praising every pretty organization idea that blows up online.
