Overheard a girl at the grocery store say her 3 second Tiktok made her $2000

I was standing in the checkout line last Tuesday when a teen told her friend that a video of her dropping an avocado got picked up by a brand deal. She said she didn't even try to make it go viral, it just happened while she was filming her lunch. Has anyone here gotten paid from a random post you forgot about?

Right, seen it happening everywhere too, it's basically a free for all right now. My buddy runs a tiny art page, barely 500 followers but somehow got a clothing brand to send him free stuff just because his posts get a few hundred likes each. Honestly feels like they're just throwing darts blindfolded hoping something sticks.
