My video about a messed up tile job went viral and now I get DMs asking for advice
Six months ago, I posted a 30-second clip on my personal account showing a tile floor I had to fix where the grout lines were all over the place. I just wanted to vent to a few buddies. It got shared by a big home reno page and hit 2 million views. Before that, I maybe got a couple calls a week. Now, I get 10-15 DMs a day from people sending me pictures of their floors asking 'is this bad?' or for tips. I used to just install floors, but now I feel like I'm a free consultant half the time. Has anyone else had a random work clip blow up and totally change how you interact with customers?

Been there... my plumbing video about a bad pipe job did the same thing. Started putting a link to my booking page in my bio and a note saying DMs aren't for free quotes. It cut down the random pics by like half.

2 million views on a tile venting clip is wild, @torres.mary has the right idea with the booking link.

My last video that blew up was just me staring at a bad miter cut for a full minute. The comments were just people asking if I was okay. Should have put my booking link in the caption, but I was too busy having an existential crisis over crown molding.
