My dumb dog video got 2 million views and I almost sold out for a brand deal on dog food
Back in March my beagle knocked over my camera tripod chasing a squirrel and the clip hit 2 million views on TikTok. A dog food company in Denver emailed me a week later offering $800 to use the clip in an ad, and my wife said take it but something felt off. I sat on the offer for 3 days and turned it down, mostly since I did not want strangers thinking I was some pet influencer. Now the account gets maybe 200 views a post and the money is long gone, but a neighbor still calls me the squirrel guy. Did any of you pass on a deal after going viral and end up kicking yourself, or was it the right call?
