Got recognized at a Waffle House in Ohio after my cat photo went viral...
I took a picture of my cat sitting in a cereal box last year and posted it on reddit before heading out to a job. Didnt think anything of it. Two days later I had 80k upvotes and my phone was blowing up. Now I cant go to the Waffle House near my moms house without someone asking if Im the "cereal cat guy." The waitress there even printed out the meme and taped it to the register. Has anyone else had a random moment like that where a stranger connected your face to some dumb post you made?

Ain't it wild how the internet follows you into real life like that? I swear it's like once you post something it's out there forever and people latch onto the dumbest stuff. I've had customers at job sites mention seeing my old truck in a local meme page and it's just weird how small the world feels now. It's like we're all just one viral post away from being known for something random.

That "small world" feeling is just the worst, isn't it?

Honestly I used to roll my eyes at people complaining about that stuff but @daniel_lane30 your point about stuff coming up at work really hit home for me. Saw a guy at the grocery store last week who recognized me from a random reddit thread about my neighbor's dog and it legit creeped me out. How do you even prepare for that?
