Discovered a stat about viral tweets that messed with my head

I was digging through some analytics site last night and found out that over 60% of viral tweets peak within the first 2 hours of being posted, which makes me wonder how many of my dumb jokes just missed the window because I posted them at 3 AM.

Bet that 3 AM thing is also about who's awake to see it first. If you post at 3 AM the algorithm thinks nobody cares after an hour and buries it, but post at 10 AM and a few early likes snowball into a trend before the algorithm catches on. Isn't the real trick just tricking the algorithm into thinking your post is hot from the start?

Man that 3 AM thing hits close to home. I posted what I thought was a pretty solid joke around midnight last Tuesday and it got like 12 likes total. Then I see someone else post basically the same thing the next morning at 10 AM and it blows up with thousands of retweets. Timing really does seem to be everything with this stuff, at least from what I've seen messing around on my own account for the last year or so.
