Overheard someone at Flying Star say the city's not testing some local wells anymore...
Was grabbing coffee this morning and caught two guys talking about how the city stopped testing water at a few wells near the South Valley after finding high levels of something last month. Got me wondering how many of us are on well water that's not getting checked anymore. Has anyone else heard anything about this?

Wait, they just stopped testing completely without telling anyone? Ngl that's terrifying. My cousin lives off Rio Bravo and her well water started tasting metallic last week, now I'm wondering if that's connected. Tbh the city should at least post warnings or something, not just quietly drop the testing program. I'd be furious if I was on well water and found out they knew something was off but didn't bother checking anymore.

Metallic taste in well water? That's a pretty specific red flag. I once convinced myself my tap water tasted like pennies, spent a week buying bottled water, then realized I was just low on iron and it was all in my head. Your mileage may vary, but maybe grab one of those cheap DIY test kits from the hardware store just to be safe. Wouldn't hurt to check while the city figures out their... uh, lack of a plan.

City's probably trying to save money by cutting unnecessary testing. Well water's been fine for years and people are panicking over a taste that's probably just minerals. Maybe focus on why the old testing was even needed in the first place if nothing ever happened.
