I used to drive past the old Tingley Coliseum without a second thought

For years, I just saw it as a big, empty building on the fairgrounds. Then my dad told me about seeing Elvis there in 1976, and it hit me how much history I was ignoring. I started looking into other spots like the KiMo Theatre and realized I'd been missing the whole story of our city. What's a place in town that has a cool history most people don't know about?

I mean, I've been delivering pizzas to that weird round bank downtown for years before someone told me it was a nuclear fallout shelter.

There's a concrete dome near the old highway I drove past for a decade. I finally looked it up last year and it was a cold war radar station. It's wild how these weird buildings just blend into the background after a while. I guess we stop asking questions about the strange stuff we see every day. Makes you wonder what else we're all ignoring.

Honestly we're all just living in a museum we're too lazy to read the plaques for. My own apartment building probably has some wild story I'll never bother to learn. The real history is whatever mystery you finally Google at 2 AM.
